April Car Club Report

Another fairly busy month for Bluebell and Mr Chips – 1537 miles and 498 kg carbon saved thanks to some lift sharing on those journeys. We have now reached 8.6 tonnes carbon saved – ever nearer to our original 10 tonnes goal.

Mr Chips has been fully liveried and is ready for his BIG day tomorrow when, along with the b-bug, he plays a crucial role in the BBC Countryfile Race from Bristol to Machynlleth on May 4th.

We think we may have located a new biodiesel supplier – based in Manchester unfortunately but hopefully they use their own biodiesel to do their deliveries. If it works, this is good cover whilst we try to work out a viable means of local collection and manufacture.

There will be a short report about the car club at the Sustainable Development Fund’s community project event on Wednesday 18th May – 4.30pm – 7.30pm – Henderson Hall, Talybont on Usk
