Tesco’s has issued a simple guide to Feed-in-Tariffs addressing the issue of domestic purchase of either solar hot water heating or PV panels.
If you are considering doing either, the government is certainly making sure it’s in your interests to do so before 2012 when the tariff starts dropping. The Generation Tariff is set at 41.3p/kWh. If you install before April 2012, you are guaranteed to be paid that rate for the lifetime of your system (25 years).
