We are delighted to announce that we have awarded Talybont resident, Billy Merrill-Glover, funding for a student project he proposed for this summer researching the feasibility of using our Mon & Brec canal as the water source for a heat pump.

Talybont Energy has explored this intriguing possibility a little bit in past years and never lost our interest in it. Billy will be investigating its feasibility from both technical and economic perspectives. Billy is about to enter his 4th year of an MEng Chemical Engineering with Energy and Environment degree at the University of Manchester.
